Mom: Do you have an extra tape?
Me: Nope.
Mom: Could you loan your sister one?
Me: It's obvious you weren't listening. I said I didn't have one!!!

It's a good thing I didn't sleep with my security blanket last night. For the past two days, I'd wake up to find my security blanket on the floor, dusty and filled with who knows what.
Also finally found the remote to my CD/VCD player. It was buried in one of my CD stashes. Had to resort to manually switching tracks from one song to another for the past week.

"We take care of our own." That's what Adrian told me as we were talking at Greenbelt 2. It had been fine my first time to visit the place and I was there with Mars, my GM, to see the Aegis gaming group which usually hangs out there every weekend. Of course it was nearing 10 pm and I wanted to stay longer. I couldn't do that though since the MRT closes at 10 pm. I asked him if there was anyone I could carpool home with.
It was a good thing I was in a car. It started raining like hell. Before heading for EDSA, we headed for Rocco's house to get some stuff from him. Of course, it so happened that we didn't know Rocco's address. It was awkward when we encountered the guard to the village as he was asking us the street and the number of the house.
When we finally came to EDSA, lo and behold! Heavy traffic to the extreme. Not only were the streets flooded but the cars were barely moving. It's a good thing I was riding a 4x4. We were nearly two hours on the road as I finally got home at 12:30 pm.
Spent the early part of the day going to Pasig to meet up with the guys for our regular D&D game. We were supposed to meet at 9 am. As usual for any RPG game, people were late. The game started at around 10:30 pm and ended at around 2 pm. Some of us then headed for Megamall but decided to have lunch at the Podium instead. It was a hearty meal costing me quite a lot. Of course, I could never resist dropping by Ink and Stone to look at their SF/F collection.

Rain, rain, and more rain. It's been the pattern for the past two months: during the weekend, a mini-storm would come, wrecking the plans of several people. Oh well.
I was actually inspired to write this morning, which is why my other blog is updated. I should do a revamp of the layout one of these days.
I came to school today and when I was headed for class, the fire drill commenced. Students suddenly came out of their classrooms and smoke was coming out of the building. All the students cheered as a fire truck came and made a mock attempt of extinguishing the flames. At least the drill was announced. Reminds me of the time in Xavier when we were having too many drills that when the real fire came, everyone hesitated, thinking it was just a drill.
Lining up for Philosophy orals didn't turn out as quickly as I thought. Like most lines in Ateneo, students manage to cut in and invite their friends to cut in. I feel I'll be losing friends soon because of my strict enforcement of the no-cutting-in-line policy.
I then headed for CCHQ to make my regular visit. Khristine and Katherine were packaging the Western comics that arrived. Woohoo! Battle of the Planets issue 2! Thundercats! Too bad I don't collect comics, because of budget problems.
Erin, if you're reading this, I have good news and bad news, no matter how you see it. For one thing, they'll be acquiring a credit card line. However, it'll be quite some time before that happens since the bank opens at 9 am and the proprietors have class during that time. And oh yeah, you apparently bought the last Saiyuki plushies. Their suppliers ran out of them already. =)
Also amidst sitting and talking at CCHQ, Ida Yotoko and J.C. Gonzales of Digital Tour entered. Looks like CCHQ will be getting TV publicity... When the cameras started rolling in, we were asked to go out. ^^
The reunion was held at Krokodile Grill. It felt like Ateneo. I mean for the first hour, everyone that was present were at one point or another Ateneans. The only exception was Sherwin, and he lives near Ateneo. Francis Kong and Ryan Fong eventually came, the latter bringing what I presume is his girlfriend. Oh yeah, people the class didn't expect to have girlfriends suddenly started having them. And yes, I'm single, perhaps forever, but that's something I've come to terms with.
Oh yeah, we were also smart enough to ask for separate bills. Actually, people wanted to go home early since many had classes in the morning, some had midterms, and a few had papers due. My carpoool, Jeremy, couldn't study for his midterms so he left at 10 pm. Since I hitch with him, I waved goodbye to everyone else. Joseph rode with us as well and then it started raining...
And throughout the entire time, I was my arrogant and pompous self. It's nice to know that I can still admit these things to myself. And if anyone's irritated at me, don't hesitate to bring it to my attention. I'd rather have an angry friend than a missing friend. =)

It just seems strange to me that when some people break up, the use the excuse "I need space" or "I need time" in the same sense. Just shows you that time and space are really one. =)

Finished reading Dragons of A Vanished Moon last night. I can finally get to a less "bulkier" book. =)
I don't think I'll be able to update tonight. Have a reunion to attend and tomorrow, I have a game to attend. It's one of those days where I'll go home exhausted.
Now I'll bonk my head on some wall...

The past week is one of those days when I'm not in control. I'm arrogant, annoying, and constantly a pain in the @$$ to a lot of people. Ugh. I feel I need to isolate myself for several days so that I don't suddenly start "losing" friends. I can see the signs. Hopefully I'll manage to rein in myself before it gets worse.
Spent the day between a constant interchange of reading Dragons of A Vanished Moon and my Theo 131 readings. Wouldn't you know it, Fr. Dacanay asked me the thesis question which I was most unfamiliar with. Of course unlike the other students, I know that life goes on. I will not be afraid to show my face to Fr. Dacanay. I will not imagine that I failed theology. I don't even think I failed the orals. A C perhaps, maybe even a D, but I doubt if it's an F.
Oh yeah, I was also late for my nonfiction class. There's no way I'm going to get from the LST to Kostka under ten minutes. Not with the HEAVY bag I'm carrying.

I've been impulsive for the past few days. Which is a REALLY BAD THING since my innate personality tends to annoy A LOT of people. Hopefully, I haven't annoyed, irritated, or scared my friends.
It's also strange when my journal entries are better praised than my nonfiction work.
Oh, and uh, Garr... I never knew you had white hair... =)
Then again, my life is too full of luck, coincidences, and happenchances. Some people I know are mad at me for coincidences rather than a conscious act to annoy them. Heck, encountering my crushes is a matter of coincidences. When I'm avoiding them, I don't see them. When I look for them, I don't. That's the weird part of my "special power". (By the way, I haven't been looking for my crush as of late, FYI). When I don't need it, it appears. When I do need it, it fails.

I'm probably the only one suicidal enough to cram for an orals exam in Theology. Especially for Fr. Dacanay's class. Anyway, it's going to be at 4 pm. And before that, I have consultation with Dr. Brionne and Dr. Emma for my nonfiction class. Did I mention we're having a quiz for history about 3 chapters I haven't read, mainly because I don't have the book? =)
Oh yeah, also made a quiz on http://www.quizyourfriends.com. I don't know why (most) people know I like Snapple. The only time people make mistakes is when it comes to my weight, and perhaps the fact that I cosplayed (once).
Oh yeah, my Philo teacher also told me to calm down yesterday. I was acting hyper. He thought it was because of coffee. I don't even drink coffee... I didn't even eat yesterday (during the time I was at school, Garr, not as in the whole day)...
Oh yeah, here's an except from the Flip mag I got free from my shopping last Tuesday:
The title is Exorcising your Ex and it's written by the very gay Danton Remoto (my former fiction teacher!). "It was a rainy night and my shirt was soaking wet. It was a set-up for porno flick. I filled a cart with foodstuffs and lined up at the counter. Behind me was a boy of about seven. Get your mind out of the gutter, I'm not a pedophile!"
When I read that last statement, it reminded me of another gay person I know. *laughs* I hope Benj and Garr got the joke, at the very least.

Right now, I feel I have a constitution of 9 in D&D terms. To non-gamers, that's the equivalent of someone aging.
Spent the entire day sleeping, eating, and reading, which is why I never get any work done. I did manage to get out at 4:30 pm to go to A Different Bookstore in Glorietta. Of course, when I finally got to the MRT, things were far from over.
I was heading South, to Glorietta. Three MRTs already passed us by, heading north, before a MRT arrived to take us Southbound. On top of that, it was crowded. I didn't need to hang on to the rails anymore to maintain balance. People were leaning on everyone else.
Dragons of a Vanished Moon was already available!!! Wheee!!! But alas, I still have to finish A Game of Thrones. And I still have to prepare for my orals on theology on Thursday, among other things. I'm a lazy bum.

I'm lethargic, I'm sick, and I'm tired. Not exactly the best ways to describe the past few days.
I don't have classes today since we were given a free cut for history. However, that doesn't mean I don't have a backlog of assignments to do...
Also an annoying thing: while checking mail last Sunday, the electric circuits in my room fluctuated, causing my computer to restart. Of course at that time, I was downloading mail. Now, there's one email message in my inbox that *I can't* get rid of. I can't move it in any other folder, much less my trash bin. Grrr. It's sooooooooo annoying!!!
On my current reading list is A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin, which is book one of the Song of Fire and Ice saga. Three books are out so far and he's been planning to release twelve books. Good news is that his writing is good, and that's not in the Robert Jordan type of way. Bad news is that I'll probably have kids by then by the time he finishes writing all the books. Either that or Garr will have natural white hair.

I'm arrogant and anti-social. Yes, I have little illusions in life. Now that's all said and done, let's move on with my Sunday life.
I think it wouldn't be an exxageration if I summed up my life with three things: friends, books, and games. Let me tackle them one at a time.
Friends: Nothing really spectacular. I did get to talk to Steph on the phone today because of my next topic.
Books: National and Powerbooks is having a sale!!! Which is not surprising since the annual bookfair is four weeks away so they're getting rid of stock. I finally got to replace my Golden Compass book which I had to give to Ma'an as a birthday present. The paperback of Pillars of Creation is finally here. Lastly, Harry Potter 4 paperback is also out as well. Steph also wanted a copy so I tried calling her from Glorietta but she wasn't home. Bought it for her in case she doesn't have one yet. When I got home, I found out that's why she was out: she went to National to buy a copy. Strangely enough, she missed Pillars of Creation.
Games: I always have a craving for Warcraft 3. Of course, I don't have money so I don't think I'll be playing any time soon this week. Unless someone wants to treat me out. =)
