Charles on Drugs

It's been several years since I've taken medicine. I mean I've stopped taking vitamins for the past six years, and antiobiotics for more than that (because I'm allergic to God-knows-what antiobiotic, and since I don't know which one, I don't take any). I guess I can be thankful that because of refraining from doing so, my immune system is better than it was a decade ago (when I had to take weekly injections just for my allergies).

Of course now with my cyst problems, I have to take, in addition to vitamins, antiobiotics three times a day (well, I know now that I'm not allergic to that one). So let's just say my body is having trouble adjusting.

A Reunion of the Unemployed

Got a call yesterday from Sony Life (Sony's branch of life insurance) and I got scheduled for their orientation today. They found me through Ateneo's directory of graduates, and when I finally got there (after getting lost in Makati), I did see some familiar faces (blockmates and batchmates). Of course it was also surprising to see the lovely summa cum laude of Humanities there as well.

Anyway, I suspect Sony Life's whittling through Ateneo starting with the School of Social Sciences last week, Humanities this week, and Science and Management in the next few weeks.

And of course, a lot of us are still unemployed. And you know, it wouldn't be so bad if the next reality TV the Philippines would come out with would deal with the contestants getting jobs (and we really won't have any shortages of finding contestants). Unfortunately, Elbert told me they already have a TV show like that in Europe.

Some D&D Related Links(Obviously, Boredom is Getting To Me)

Order of the Stick, the funniest web comic I've seen so far. Unfortunately, for the most part, you have to be familiar with the D&D rules to enjoy it.

Christians and D&D. Sorry, I refuse to believe that D&D is Satanic (unless, of course, the person playing it was Satanic to begin with) or Occult or whatever.

And of course, there's the controversy over file sharing.
