First off, I have two contradictory news about Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. According to The One Ring and the banners at Glorietta, The Two Towers will be released at the Ayala Malls tomorrow, Jan. 4, 2003. However, when I called the Ayala Malls, the automatic message I received was that you can preorder tickets for the regular showing in Jan. 11. In case you're wondering why they're showing it two weeks after the start of January, it's because the Manila Film Fest was extended.

Second, Classic Zoids (Chaotic Century) on Cartoon Network has two more episodes to go, at least if we're going by the US run which failed to air the last four episodes. Typical of dubbed anime on TV to be discontinued. Tekkaman Blade (Teknoman) ended up with the same feat, being abruptly ended midseason.

Third, yesterday watched Fellowship of the Ring Extended version at Jobert's place. I also got to see two easter eggs, one involving the MTV version of the council (which is essentially the same with the fact that Sarah Michelle Geller and this other guy where present, and the guy had the One Ring on his privates) as well as The Two Towers trailer. Also played some games like Gestures with Jobert's siblings, his sister's best friend, and his sister's best friend's mom.

Right now, I'm cramming since I haven't done my homework for Monday. There's the Phil. Lit. assignment and I'm nearly done reading A Season of Grace. Then there's the Philosophy paper as well as the fiction for Mr. Yuson's class, which unfortunately, I still don't know where to begin with.

Lastly, there's a rumor of the SF&F con to be held in March to be organized by the Star Trek group here in the Philippines. Wheee! SF&F! I wonder if anyone will come as Polgara the Sorceress...

P.S. Heard that today's JM's birthday. Happy birthday JM! =)

Managed to get out of the house and actually do something. Met up with Athene (who's as pretty as ever) to get Steph's Arislan #1. Athene still calls me uke. >.< After that, I had an impromptu meeting with Krizelle at Glorietta.

Krizelle: Why do you have a jacket?

Me: This is the Philippines we're talking about. The sun shines and rains at the same time.

And sure enough, it rains when I get home. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Athene told me that Feata (I still don't know how to get there) is having a sale. I asked if me and Krizelle could go there, but unfortunately, we couldn't since Krizelle's sister was out shopping. So instead, we headed to Kero's house to give him cake and Krizelle needed to get some things from him. Since I had nothing better to do, I tagged along.

This is the second time I've been to Kero's house. Of course the first time involved waiting outside the gate for an hour or so. This time, I managed to get inside and oogle at all the anime VCDs and DVDs there. Found out Robert got robbed and Paul dropped by just before we left.

The MRT trip home was freaky since it stopped twice at inappropriate places. When I got to the Ortigas station, I got off and was daunted by the strong rains (must not let the Arislan manga get wet!). Anyway, when I got home, everything was drenched: my jacket, my shirt, my pants, my shoes, my socks... it's a good thing my phone's waterproof, and my wallet is being protected by a thick layer of cloth. My plastic folder was sturdy enough that the Arislan manga didn't get wet.

And now, I'm facing what I hate about New Year: the smoke. Oh yeah, I think The Two Towers will be showing here on Jan. 5, 2002.

Right now, I'd write everyone emails but I fear the smoke, so I'll do it tomorrow. ^^

I'd text people Happy New Year but ummmm, my mobile phone credits is running low. This is also the time of the year where I email everyone but ever since I got a new computer, my new address book isn't exactly filled with people's email addies. Oh well. Happy New Year!

Since I don't have anyone to scan my pics of C3 (and sick Elbert hasn't given me the pics of my room yet), I'll just do the next best thing: refer you to someone else.

I must admit, I'm impressed with the guy. He flew in all the way from Singapore just to see the con.

Anyway, I thought my heart would stop since I might see a pic of my crush. At first glance, I was safe. But on careful observation (you know, looking at the background and seeing if you see a familiar face), well, let's just say right now, I'm depressed. *sigh*

I guess it's just as well that I'm trapped here in the house. I'd only be emitting a depressive aura and believe me, when I'm depressed, people will feel it. And which is why some people think I'm pathetic...

Forgive me if I'm not in the festive mood. Aside from the depression, I haven't done any of my homework yet. And my parents ruined the past two weeks by bringing me to Chinese restaurants (which I hate) and feeding me nothing but seafood. Ugh. Lost my taste for shrimp. Even declined tempura the other day, and that's something I haven't done.

Several weeks ago, our older computer couldn't connect to our ISP so we asked one of their people to come and check what was wrong. They diagnosed that the OS needed to be updated. Now, the phone line has been cleared since it was grounded and I can connect perfectly to the ISP. Just shows how much I can trust those people at Mindgate. I mean the last time I called tech support for bouncing emails, the guy on the line told me to stop using Netscape and start using Outlook. Feh!

Oh yeah, and in case anyone who has NHK WOWOW (BS-5) on their cable, could they tape the Glay One Live concert on January 3 at 9 pm? I was going to tell Mich about this but then I realized I don't know her email address. >.<
