Job Fair

I was at Glorietta yesterday joining the masses in their search for job opportunities. Well, right now, at least those who are advertising, Creative Writing isn't in demand.

Of course half of those who were at the job fair were call centers, and I don't think we'll have a shortage of call centers anytime soon.

Elections

I think my only comment for now is that while all the current fuss is about our potential presidents, let's not forget that they're not the only ones we're voting for. It just doesn't take head or the brain to run the entire body. There's the hands, feet, legs, arms, etc. Choosing our officials of a "lower" position can be just as important as choosing who our president (or vice-president).

Man vs Machine

For the past few weeks, I've been sorting out "programs" on my computer. Apparently, there's a swarm of adware (you know, programs that send info from your computer to corporate computers, and why pop-ups appear here and there on your screen) and removing them was more difficult than pressing the delete button.

There's also the fact that a worm infected my computer and caused my computer process to be working at 100%, slowing everything down. After searching which program was causing which, that was easily conquered by the delete button.

And there's this latest new worm, sasser, which is similar to the blaster worm in the fact that you don't even have to get it from an attachment; other computers connect to you and infect you.

Six Days to Go

It's almost election time and Philippine politics is as surprising as ever. Various claims have been made by various parties, and I'm sure by the end of the week, more "surprises" will pop up.

On a side note, I think I've been inadvertedly volunteered for the supervision of the ballot counts.
