Long Weekend
Monday's a holiday for Ateneo, because it's president's (Ateneo's) day.
Of course tonight I'm sleeping over at a friend's house, actually finding a way to play D&D at his house, leave during dinner time for Gamer's Shop since there's a D&D game there as well, and somehow manage to get back to friend's house during midnight.
The price we pay for gaming...
Treasure!
Yesterday dropped by A Different Bookstore to find new stocks. Most notable is Legends II, an anthology of fantasy writers including the likes of George R.R. Martin, Neil Gaiman, Terry Brooks, and eight other authors.
On a side note, if you're waiting for the paperback, it might end up costing you more if it's anything like last year's anthology; the eleven authors were split into three paperbacks and well, three paperbacks almost costs as much as one hardcover.
Another notable book, which I really urge people to get (although probably not if the only thing you read is mainstream fantasy) is Jeffrey Ford's The Fantasy Writer's Assistant and Other Stories.
Lethal Injection
Probably one of the better ways to die. And ironically, the nurses administering lethal injection rub your skin with alcohol and cotton to prevent infection. And then makes sure that there aren't any bubbles in the injection (although it's a good thing too because dying via air bubbles could be a painful death). And then they finally kill you with the serum.
