Fantasy vs Magic Realism
Terry Pratchett's take during a recent interview:
"Magic realism is fantasy wearing a collar and tie. Magic realism is a term invented by the viewers when one of their chums has written a fantasy novel but they don't want to tar them with the blush of "fantasy" 'cause everyone knows that's all about sword and sorcery and idiot stuff like that."
